LA-Searching for Friendship- 3

Hades let out a deep growl when he saw the red hound in the distance; causing Persephone to look up.

"Hades!" Persephone nipped his shoulder, "She could be a friend!" She couldn't hide the excitement in her voice and her tail began to wag.

"She could also be an enemy." Hades growled back.

Persephone glared at her brother. "This is exactly why we don't have any friends." She said, irritated by her brothers constant pessimism.

Hades glanced back at Persephone, but didn't reply. The hound was now quite close and the sibling came to a stop as she approached.

“Hey! I’m new to Athens, and I was wondering if you guys know anything about the neighboring packs. Just to let you know, I don’t want to fight or anything. Though I’m ready to go if you guys decide to be idiots.” The red hound said as she came directly in front of the siblings.

Hades just stood and stared, a little taken aback by the dogs confident and brazen, yet friendly greeting. He was just about to say something, but Persephone cut him off.

"Hello!" She said, laughing a little at the dogs odd remark. "I'm Persephone." She paused to think before rambling on, "We've actually only been here a few seasons ourselves, and don't know much about the other packs. The only pack we've had contact with was the Redwood Brotherhood, but that wasn't exactly a...happy meeting. Thanks to my brother-Oh this is Hades by the way." Persephone said, motioning to the other terrier. "Yeah, thanks to Hades here we haven't really met anyone since our meeting with the Brotherhood."

Hades looked at his sister indignantly before cutting in. "And now that my sister here has told you our life story, who are you?" He asked.

"I didn't-"

"Oh, shut up." Hades turned to his sister, a look of complete unamusement on his face. He had always thought Persephone trusted strangers too much, especially when she wanted something; in this case, friendship. He turned back to the hound. "What's your name?"
